About the Association of Independent Tobacco Specialists (A.I.T.S)

The Association of Independant Tobacco Specialists are a consortium of tobacconists who formed in 1976 to help advice, inform and support each independant trader which exclusively trades in tobacco products.

Project Detail

The A.I.T.S. commissioned Centurius to design & develop not one but two web sites. The first was a new online public information site for the A.I.T.S. which was designed to inform the general public about who they are, what they do and who exactly their members are around the United Kingdom. As well as this, the site allowed non members to apply for membership to the second site that Centurius was commissioned to build.

Phase 2 of the project was a secure intranet for all the existing members to receive recent news, announce any potential fraudulent activity, give help and advice for sourcing products plus any tobacco legislation. In addtion to this the site contained a media library, a downloads section plus a gallery of previous trade exhibtions.

Both sites were created using the WordPress content management system.
