Project Detail
Centurius were recently commissioned to redesign and redevelop Exclusive Footwear’s new ecommerce web site from their exisiting version 7 software to the current version of the Actinic Business Ecommerce (V10).
From initial meetings with our client, it was agreed that the new look of the website required a more minimalistic approach, with clear navigation areas, nice large advertisement areas and enhanced site functionality to encourage customer purchasing. We also felt that by having the site quite light the supporting product imagery would then bring the colour that we would require.
Regarding the design layout of the site, we felt that an increase in width to accommodate for more product real estate was essential. Elements from the first generation web site needed to be kept to promote customer registration as well as staff recommendations. From a marketing perspective customised variables were introduced to allow a keyword friendly introduction into vitually every top level section of the web site. This also allowed the client to incorporate a relating brand image to the right hand side of the text for support. The latest functions within Actinic V10 also allowed the client to create upsell items based on the main product to increase further cutomer purchasing.
A number of external plugins were integrated into the site to entice the customer into purchasing products, such as an automatic zoom magnifier which shows the sheer quality of the footwear they have on offer.
