About Global Furniture Alliance

Global Furniture Alliance is an importer and sales agency for overseas leather and fabric upholstery. Operating out of Wales, GFA have a stock warehouse with distribution facilities, spare parts service and a number of general offices.

It is run by managing directors Tim and James Painter (brothers) after the company was initially set up by the former in 1991.

GFA has built its reputation by concentrating on developing swivel chairs to suit all tastes and price ranges. It is viewed by many as a top rate product source.

Project Detail

Global Furniture Alliance commissioned Centurius to build their new site after a referral from one of our former clients. After an initial telephone conversation, Centurius advised GFA that a WordPress website would be the best option as the company is Business to business rather than ecommerce.

Our approach to the design side of the site was a clean and minimal approach; letting the photographs of the products themselves bring out the colour in the site. Centurius imputed the extensive product range, creating product and portfolio pages.

To increase the interaction between Global Furniture Alliance and their customer base, Centurius created a Twitter account and implemented the third party ‘chat’ function, powered by Zopim, which allows the customer to quickly and easily ask GFA about any of their products.

Importantly for navigation, Centurius implemented a homepage rotator to highlight and emphasise product ranges. We also created a number of ‘About Us’ pages where the company’s customers can see who they are doing business with.
