About The Roebuck Pub

The Roebuck pub is situated in the beautiful hamlet of Newall with Clifton in North Yorkshire. They believe in good, honest food and are famous for their hearty pies.

Renamed the Spite in the 1870’s, the pub reverted to its original name in 1012 to coincide with a large renovation. The pub put on a number of events throughout the year including a Valentine’s night and a Royal Ascot Ladies Day.

Project Detail

The Roebuck Pub is a local business and Centurius is committed to being as visible in the local community as it is on a national front. The client required the ability to change content, add images and undertake general administration with relative ease and so Centurius suggested moving the site on to a WordPress platform.

Centurius chose the template (in collaboration with Roebuck) and moved the client over from their existing server.

The main function of the website was to display the quality of the recently renovated pub, and so Centurius installed a large homepage banner to show large scale images of the property. Centurius then populated the menu structure with menu and ‘about us’ pages.

Specific to the Roebuck was an ‘up coming events’ page for the client to let their customers know about the large number of special events and evenings that they have.

Centurius offered training to the Roebuck and so the client can now update the site by themselves. A key aim of Centurius is to offer the client tools so that they can update their websites themselves, saving them time and money.
